Dave Long (1959) received All-PIL recognition in both baseball and basketball. In 1958-1959, he was selected to the second team All-City basketball team. In baseball, he was on 2nd team All-City in 1958, first team All-City in 1959 as well as first team All-State. Dave earned three varsity letters in baseball at Oregon State University. In 1963, he was first team all conference (Pac-8) as a second baseman. OSU Coach Ralph Coleman called Dave his best all time 2nd baseman in 36 years of coaching. Dave is a practicing dentist with his office in the Westmoreland area of Portland.
