Dwight "Yogi" Umbarger ('53) was an outstanding football and baseball athlete. He was named to the All-City football team and played in the annual Shrine game. He was also named to All-City and All-State in baseball. At Linfield College, he was All-Conference in baseball and was drafted by the Brooklyn Dodgers. He competed in pro ball for two seasons.
